Lesson 20
In Lesson 20, we plan our GOTR Community Impact Project. We talk about all the skills they have learned so far that will help them with the project. As a group, we will chose a cause/group to run for. Each of the girls will try to reach their lap goal in support of the cause/group. Next time, we will wear our Girls on the Run t-shirts for our Community Impact Project! Questions and Conversation Starters: 1. Do you need to bring or prepare anything to carry out your role in the Community Impact Project? 2. Can you think of anything we could do together to positively impact our community? Lesson 21 This week, we will finish our Community Impact Project and review what they have learned during Girls on the Run. During Lesson 21, we help make a difference in our community with our project! Ask her to tell you how it went. Questions and Conversation Starters: 1. Did you enjoy your Community Impact Project? 2. How did it feel to do something to help another person or group of people? 3. I am so proud of you for giving back this way! What have you learned about yourself while doing this project? Lesson 23 In Lesson 23, we play a game to show what Girls on the Run means to each of us. We will also play a running game that lets the girls practice using all the skills they have learned this season. As the girls enjoy running, talking, laughing, and just being with friends, the coaches will run along with each of them to say our personal farewells. Questions and Conversation Starters: 1. How do you feel now that Girls on the Run is almost over? 2. Do you feel like you are ready for the 5k? (If you are running the 5k together, share how you are feeling as well)
